Cheeeese: Utrecht gets its own cheese bar

Say wine, snacks or haute cuisine and the foodies of online food magazine FavorFlav know where to drink, how to eat it and what to cook. This time our chefs serve you: the cheese bar in Utrecht.

Good news for all cheese lovers among us: the first cheese bar in Utrecht will open soon. Cheese bar will be located in the building where De Witte Ballons used to be. Just like at Cheese bar Amsterdam, you can enjoy the tastiest cheeses with your wine and beer here.

The cheese train: from Amsterdam to Utrecht
This year Cheese bar Amsterdam opened. And now the Intercity train goes from Amsterdam to Utrecht. Because at Cheese bar Utrecht, just like in the branch in Amsterdam, the cheese is served like a sushi train where you grab sushi from the conveyor belt, but with cheese instead. And believe me, it's incredibly fun and delicious.

Dutch cheese: from white flora to blue flora
The owners Mark, Thierry, and Hademar are true cheese lovers. Mark and Thierry come from a cheese family and have chosen to serve only (twenty) Dutch cheeses. Delicious, because there are incredibly many beautiful cheeses from the Netherlands and they want you to taste them. The cheeses are sorted from mild to strong per group, and for an ultimate experience, you eat the cheeses from white flora to blue flora.

Sheep cheese with… popcorn!
For every cheese, they have come up with a special combination that goes well with the flavor of the cheese. How about sheep cheese served with popcorn/caramel and an aged cumin with curry mayo and lime zest? And of course, you can also drink the perfect wine or even beer with every cheese.

Jump on the cheese train
Cheese bar Amsterdam was an immediate success. Cheese bar Utrecht will open at the end of this summer, the exact date is not yet known, but the location is already: the beautiful art deco building of De Witte Ballons with a view of the Oudegracht and the Dom.
