Say wine, snacks or haute cuisine and the gourmands at online food magazine FavorFlav know where to drink, how to eat it and what to cook. This time our cheffies serve you: carrot cake and lemon cheesecake spiced nuts.

HEMA continues to surprise us. Last week they already came out with gluten-free spiced nuts and spiced nuts with less sugar, now they have brought even more spiced nut variations to the shelf.

Pastry becomes spiced nut
In addition to these and the previously introduced spelt and whole grain spiced nuts, HEMA will take another step this year with the introduction of new flavors lemon-cheesecake and carrot cake. Yes, you read that right: your favorite baked goods (well, at least mine) disguised as a cheeky spiced nut. Both types of spiced nuts are coated with white chocolate and cost €2 per bag.

Spiced nuts versus pepper nuts
Now that these special spiced nuts are for sale, that one question immediately arises again: what is actually the difference between spiced nuts and pepper nuts? Well: pepper nuts are those chewy irregularly shaped chunks that taste like taaitaai (brilliant name by the way, because those things are chewy!) and by the way, there is no pepper involved. Spiced nuts are those delicious, crunchy hard half balls that you can now also buy in the flavor of the tastiest pastries.
