Drinking more than two glasses of wine at home in one day is actually not done

Times of crisis that call for new rules. New habits. New fun things to get through the day.
For many, that's a glass of wine. White, red, rosé, a beer in the afternoon, a nice cocktail for the garden... Well, you have to do something if you can't really do much else. Wine shops and wholesalers are doing good business: we want to have something nice to drink at home in large quantities. But that extra glass of wine is actually better left alone.
First of all, because drinking more than two glasses of wine at home per day is not done It's just a bit sad, right? Having a glass of wine in the pub, at the bar, in a restaurant with dinner... That's very different. Home is just home, and why would you drown yourself? Exactly. Not only is it sad, but according to corona experts, it is also completely discouraged. Because alcohol is not a pick-me-up for your immune system. Drinking a lot of alcohol decreases the number of immune cells, and if you were to contract the coronavirus, your body would be less able to fight this virus. And you certainly don't want that. You want to be as fit as possible. It's better to eat your vegetables and fruits, to exercise properly, and to work in the garden while sipping ginger tea.
We know it well, but yes, the temptation still beckons daily. We understand that. In fact, we know the feeling.
And so we made a golden list of what you can do instead of pouring that third glass of wine:
- Bake cookies and eat them yourself
- Bake banana bread and leave it at your friends' door with a ribbon around it
- Eat a French cheese
- Shop online, especially for nice summer dresses and flip-flops
- Have sex
- Rearrange your living room and move/throw away/rebuy everything
- Take photos in your house, in your garden, at your door, of your child and post them on Instagram
- Put a bag of chips in a bowl so it doesn't look so bad when it's empty
Good luck. Just a little month to go, hopefully. And no one is paying attention to the waist or hips this spring, so enjoy it.
