Eurovision Song Contest 2020: ‘our’ song has leaked and you can listen to it here

Jeangu Macrooy

Actually, it was supposed to be announced tonight, but our entry has already leaked today. So we can listen to the song Grow now. Oops, thanks.

Because actually, the song was supposed to be announced tonight, on De Wereld Draait Door. Singer Jeangu Macrooy is going to perform it live there. That is still happening, only due to a mistake, the song was already on streaming service Apple Music. Look, that’s not very handy. But for us, it is, because I was super curious and the sooner the better.

Grow was immediately removed from the streaming service, but not before several users slyly filmed it. Shownieuws even has the full music video. Hopsakee. How do we know for sure that it’s about the entry? Well, Jeangu Macrooy shared a teaser on Tuesday night. And that teaser looks suspiciously much like the leaked song. Well, suspiciously much... There is actually no doubt about it.

So that means we can already discuss what we think about it. First impression? Well, fine. Now I must say that when it comes to Eurovision entries, I really have no feeling for it at all because I found the song by The Common Linnets also incredibly boring. And well, they did quite well as we know. I found Douwe Bob really fun and he did very poorly. Duncan Laurence was amazing and he did the best.

I would love it if we could bring a cheerful uptempo song again, so maybe I was hoping for that. And that is not Grow. It’s a nice song, but I don’t find it very special so far. I will be watching DWDD tonight, because live is always just that little bit extra.

Well, enough talked about this, you just want to listen to it. You can check it out below. Thanks, Shownieuws.
