I just did a round on Videoland and came across 6 awesome documentaries that you want to watch now

Put on your comfiest snuggie, close the curtains, blast that microwave with a popcorn bag and just stay at home. Something that becomes absolutely bearable with these documentaries. You’re welcome, joejoe.
The price of being famous
When I grow up, I wanna be famous, I wanna be a star, I wanna be in movies. Yeah? Do you really want that? Because looking at this, I’m not so sure. ‘The Price of Being Famous’ is a documentary series that highlights the highs and lows of the world’s biggest stars. Archive material and interviews with family members, friends, and showbiz journalists provide a detailed picture of what lies behind the headlines. Big stars like Prince, Johnny Depp, and Robin Williams seemed to have it all, but ultimately paid a price for their success. Heavy stuff indeed. A full episode about Johnny Depp, then one about Angelina Jolie, and then one about Selena Gomez. Oh, you’ll get through the time, trust me.
Eating disorders: masks off
Hardcore awarded with five stars. And rightly so. Documentary maker Jessica Villerius presents an impressive four-part series on the most common forms of eating disorders. Four very personal portraits of women showing what daily life with an eating problem looks like. Impressive. Intense. And somehow also interesting to see how the brain can work. Or something.
Cuddly & Wild: Adorable Animal Babies
OMG OMG OMG. You follow the babies of different animal species in their first year of life. Can’t handle the fluffiness.
I Am Influencer
Documentary maker Laura Veenema followed three of the most popular influencers in our country for a year: Kaj Gorgels, Qucee, and Juultje Tieleman. The documentary follows them in their dreams and insecurities, against a backdrop of hundreds of thousands of followers, comments, and likes. ‘I Am Influencer’ tackles the prejudices surrounding the most popular ‘profession’ among young people.
Miljuschka’s Street Food Vietnam
Okay, the chance that you’ll hear a scooter coming up to your front door while watching this season is high. Damn, you want Vietnamese food. And you want it fast. In the series, you follow TV chef Miljuschka in her quest for special new flavors and cooking techniques. Additionally, she prepares everything from the famous Vietnamese pho (noodle soup with beef) and bahn mi (a filled baguette) to dumplings, steamed buns, and all the ingredients for a street barbecue. Sigh… HUNGRY.
Billionaire Kids: On Holidays
Wow, speaking of guilty pleasures… We watch the children of super-rich parents during their vacation. What do these little brats get up to when money is no object? Eating ice cream topped with gold leaf costing £780? Or floating around Monaco on a luxury super yacht costing £100,000 a week? Almost impressive how these people spend their money.
