It's starting to get messy

Compared to the previous pregnancy, I am much more active now. I am currently in week 38 and while I had already closed myself off nicely last time, I am now secretly scheduling some work appointments here and there. Fortunately, I am being reined in at home with a firm hand and we fully relaxed this past weekend with the three of us at Hotel Huis ter Duin. I used to come to this beautiful place with my parents during the summer months, but as a winter location, this hotel is also an absolute recommendation. We took lovely beach walks, had a little swimming session in the pool, enjoyed extensive lunches, and at the end of the afternoon, we snuggled up in bed to watch TV; Otis also had the time of his life. Despite the fact that we were only half an hour from our own home, this felt like a truly long weekend away. I can't wait to plan such a lovely weekend with the four of us soon.

To immediately respond to the story above: as much as I love writing for Amayzine, I am going to really cocoon for a bit now... Things are starting to stir, so who knows, this stubborn little guy might arrive sooner. The coming days will be all about washing baby clothes, thoroughly tidying up the house, and really preparing everything for the little one. Of course, you will be among the first to hear when the little one arrives, and I can't wait to finally share the name. I can already shed a tear at the thought of Otis meeting and holding his little brother for the first time... But until then, we will enjoy our time as a trio for a little longer.
