Kiki’s Bachelorette Babble: 10 things I thought during episode 12

kiki durations

Biiiiirds flying high… You know how I feel… Joey is getting screwed… You know how I feeheeel. Well Gaab, it’s a new dawn, and a new day and a new life and all that, really nice. But, do you really mean this? The ten points that came to mind this episode were never so short and powerful.

1. I
2. Know
3. Not
4. What
5. I
6. Must
7. Do
8. With
9. This
10. Result

So, that was the babble again for this week. Thanks for being here to talk for three months about the search for love that ultimately ended with an anticlimax of you-know-what. Nice that you were here, okay bye.

P.S.: I’m still thinking about stopping typing now.

P.P.S.: But despite this boring-corona-on-the-couch aftertalk, there’s still quite a bit to chat about, right? Okeeeee, okeeee. Attempt 2…

1. It’s still wonderful to see that Rickie Brandstoker is completely in his element. I wish this man even more shows with love hooks. You can say a lot about him, but no matter how vulgar the format is, Rick remains desperately searching for pure romance. Applause for this perseverance.

Casper, have you found love by now?
‘No.’
Ritchie, do you have a girlfriend?
‘No.’
Jordy, are you with someone?
‘Nope.’
Chester then?
‘Well. There are a few sparks flying. Now it’s a bit of filtering actually.’
A.k.a.: ‘No Rick, I don’t have a relationship at the moment either.’
What I really don’t understand about Chester is that he suddenly has a blond tuft. Nice.

2. Then they ask how it was to sleep with so many men in one house. ‘It was intimate. Very intimate. We’ve grown so close to each other. A gigantic bond has formed there.’ Of all the answers that could have been chosen, Ritchie chooses this one. I just wanted to mention it.

3. Casper, I love your big smile, but I’m getting tired of your socks, darling. There. I said it.

4. I HAD FORGOTTEN HOW WHITE-ROSE-JORDY TALKS, HAHAHA. *Look, stop laughing, not funny, shhh. Stop now. I mean it. Kisses. HAHAAAAA.

5. Andreas drops the Gaby diss of the century: ‘It was really a super experience, but I was also happy to be home again.’ Okay okay okay…

Then Rick responds back. ‘It didn’t really work out for you, did it? You arrived full of action on the motorcycle. Is that the most action you’ve felt in South Africa?’ HAHA RICK OMG.

6. Okay, three-quarters of female Netherlands is sliding off the couch now. Jordy is wearing a pink shirt. I repeat: a pink shirt.

7. Rick is meanwhile back to Brandstoken. ‘Jordy and Jethro, how is it between you now? There’s more than two meters between you… More than the corona measures.’

8. Who suddenly thinks that the production also decided that Niek had to come to the finale because a reality series is coming?

9. Oh WOAH, I thought I was watching The Bachelorette, but suddenly it is Keeping Up With the Kardashians, HELLO GABY WOMAN YOU HOTNESS. White outfit, hair, gold glitter heels, looking slick, girl. Looking goooood, girl, damn, corona did you well.

10. Okay, time for the moment of truth… She is… no longer together with Joey. We could kind of see that coming, right? The reason? She chose her parents during corona and couldn’t see Joey? HAHAHA. Sorry. Omg. He’s getting screwed. HUH? It’s getting worse. The suspenseful music ramps up…

Rick looks serious: ‘Does it feel like a missed opportunity with Jordy? I think he’s still there… We can bring him in for a moment.’

She – played enthusiastically –
Omg, is he still there?
‘Well, I would really like that.’
Omg, what is this for a play?
Omg, As The World Turns.
And Gaby is now looking at Jordy with love.
And they giggle together again.
But wait a minute, huh. Djeeeeez, Gaab. Couldn’t you have thought two episodes earlier that sending Jordy away wasn’t such a good idea?
Joey is not only getting screwed, we are all getting screwed in the name of TV.
And we let ourselves get screwed.
Is this plot twist to spice up the show?
What is happening here? I’m getting a serious error.

Rick ends with the legendary words: ‘An unexpected turn in the romantic fairy tale, but as you can see: love remains unpredictable.’

I’m convinced: Gaby is the gift that keeps on giving.
I can’t wait for the next season of this show.

Oh, and:
– Gaby seems to have a new love, by the way. Shownieus reports as a scoop that the person in question is race car driver Bas Schothorst. Oehlala.
– Oh, and speaking of scoops: Joey was the first to give his reaction about his time with Gaby in the podcast. He reportedly sent her several messages after De Bachelorette, to which she replied that she was ‘too busy’. Ouch.

Here Joey tells his whole story.

P.S.: Thank you very much, Casper, NOW craving sweet potato.

P.P.S.: Was Boy too critical and therefore cut out half the program + not invited to the reunion? Food for thought…

P.P.P.S.: ‘I see life as a fruit. And I am grateful that I live.’ Niek, thank you for all your wonderful quotes this season. You are a star.

P.P.P.P.S.: Why did I gain three kilos during corona time and Gaby steps out looking like Kylie Jenner? Damn.
