Must visit: Lake McDonald in Montana

Between the mountains in Glacier National Park lies Lake McDonald, where the bottom is strewn with the most beautiful colors. We may not be traveling outside of Europe just yet, but we are certainly dreaming about it.
Lake McDonald in Montana stretches sixteen kilometers in length and one and a half meters in width, making it the largest of the 700 lakes in the park. Actually, the lake is originally a valley that has been shaped and filled by erosion and ice. The bottom of Lake McDonald is strewn with stones in just about every color. At the beach of Apgar, you have the best view of the colored pebbles and the mountains surrounding Lake McDonald.
You can experience the park exactly your own way, from staying and dining in a lodge to hiking from the campground. It all depends on your taste. So, a must-do on the bucket list, a visit to Montana.
