Netflix is making a new comedic thriller

Let it GOOOO, let it gooooo. Whether Kristen Bell ever gets rid of her Frozen image, I don't know (even though she doesn't sing this song, but that doesn't matter), but I think she's really cool anyway. Her relationship with actor Dax Shepard, which she is always very open about. Okay, and I became an even bigger fan when she was in Amsterdam and went by my favorite spot and I saw her in real life. She is really tiny and incredibly nice. Love Kristen Bell therefore.

So I am excited about the new series The Woman in the House, in which she will play the lead role. And of course Netflix has snagged her. We are going to see a whole different side of her; it will be a thriller series. I didn't see that coming, especially since Will Ferrell is one of the producers (and Kristen herself too). You would expect it to be a comedy series, but nothing could be further from the truth.

The series will consist of eight episodes and is about a woman named Anna (Kristen Bell and not the same kind of Anna from Frozen) who lives alone in a house. With a broken heart and an alcohol problem, life is not exactly treating her well at the moment. But there seems to be hope on the horizon when she gets a very handsome neighbor. Unfortunately, the actor who will play this handsome neighbor is not yet known, but there is at least a spark between the two.

Things go wrong quickly and Anna witnesses a murder. That's what we know so far about the story, it sounds pretty grim and also a bit bizarre. That bizarre part is true, because — fortunately — there will also be a dark comedic note in it. Okay, I predict: absurd, bloody, thrilling, and funny. As far as I'm concerned, a great combination.

A release date is not yet known, but I will of course be quick to tell you when it is time. Eight-part series, I say: we'll have it finished in a day. It's going to be great, this.
