Everything you want to know about the upcoming FLOTUS

Soon it will be bye-bye, Melania. Sounds silly, but I think it’s not that bad: there’s a good chance she’s also eager to move out of the White House.
Her replacement will be Jill Biden, the wife of Joe. In many ways, a remarkable woman. To start with the first: she will probably be the first First Lady who, alongside her duties as FLOTUS, keeps a job. Jill Biden is a teacher, and a very passionate one. She loves her work so much that she has no plans to quit just because her husband became president of America. You won’t see her doing that.
And she is also a beautiful appearance. Not so strange either: she first started studying fashion marketing but didn’t finish it. However, her love for style and fashion did not abandon her, as you can see from her outfits. When she was eighteen, she switched to studying English at the University of Delaware: that is also the subject she still teaches.
Additionally, she worked as a model, which caught Joe's attention. He saw a campaign of hers and was quite charmed by her, he let his brother know. That brother happened to know her, and so the first contact was made. A telling detail: when she first went out with Joe Biden, she was still in the process of divorcing her first husband. And she didn’t even know what Joe looked like and only went by the good stories from his brother. A blind date, then. And a very successful one, as the two have been married since 1977.
At 69 years old, Jill is not thinking about slowing down anytime soon. On the contrary, her grandchildren describe her as a ‘crazy nana’. Full of energy, always active, passionate about her work and feminism. And not afraid, as was evident during a speech by her husband in March. A vegan activist stormed the stage, but that party didn’t go on: Jill jumped in front of her husband and kept the woman away from him, after which security took over.
It seems obvious to me that we will see and hear much more from this First Lady than from Melania. She consciously kept a lower profile around her husband and politics, but that’s not something we should expect from Jill. We will (thankfully) see a lot of her. In her free hours besides teaching, of course. A bit premature, but maybe she will become my favorite First Lady. Michelle, you got competition. By the way, she doesn’t mind: the two get along very well.
