Oh, how much I am looking forward to this

Suddenly there was a note on the stairs of our beach cabin, stating that there are recordings tonight, tomorrow, and Friday for a new drama series from KRO/NCRV. That men with guns might be walking around, that we don't have to be afraid and more of that. I'm not afraid, but I am happy. Because I delved into the subject and Doodstil (we announced last year that this series would come) is incredibly in the making and it is the successor to Penoza.

The screenwriters (whom I found considerably less strong in the last season than in the first, read here why) have come up with something quite brilliant. Because weren't we all fascinated by the character of Nicolaas Luther? How can you have such a big heart, be so loyal, and at the same time be so ruthless?

In Doodstil, Nicolaas Luther is the main character and you see how he has become who he is. We hop from the nineties of the immaculate Luther to the grim present and see what has shaped and colored him. Without giving everything away (I don't know either, haha, but if I did, I wouldn't say it to not take away your pleasure), I can say that it has to do with the death of his brother and avenging that murder. The series will be on TV this fall and I'm going to sneakily watch Luther on the beach tonight.
