Wanted: the best noise cancelling headphones on the market

woman behind computer

The best noise cancelling headphones that aren't ridiculously expensive, to be precise. Working from home was all peace and quiet for me, except for my neighbor who is a percussionist (yes, you can imagine). Only the situation has changed. The neighbors’ house has been sold and the new neighbor lady thought it was a good idea to renovate for three (!) months. I'm on day four of the construction project and I'm slowly losing it. During the day, at least two drills are running at the same time (true story, this) and in my house from 1918, it sounds like they are working inside with me, and in the evenings, the other side gets inspired and clangs and bounces and drums on the couch and out of bed. Apparently, a person gets inspired at the strangest times. Now I know that everyone just has to do their job, including me, and that's why I'm seeking my refuge in noise cancelling methods. I suspect that the volume at which my headphones are currently playing the brainwaves will ultimately cause hearing damage, and we don't want that either. But what to choose? A budget-friendly option from JBL, a pair of AirPods from Apple, or a unit from Sony? Email your tips to adeline@amayzine.com and I solemnly promise that I will share the top 3 with you later.
