Still quite funny: behold the corona emojis

Can we just applaud for the little guy who works without pants on? #moodalldayeveryday. New times call for new emojis, that's what Esther van Brakel and Joran Backx thought too. After a few hours of photoshopping, the two have 12 new emojis ready that are now being downloaded from all over the world. “We were in quarantine and bored. And then this idea came to us,” Esther tells EditieNL. The first stickers were so well received that the collection has now expanded to 26 emojis. The elbow greeting, a calling granny, an online drink, the healthcare heroes, the toilet roll, it's just a small selection. And, wow: the emoji pack has now been downloaded over 23,000 times.

The goal is to create awareness for the crisis. “The emoji is a universal language that is understood all over the world. The idea is that our versions explain the rules at a glance and in a light-hearted way. They are popular not only in the Netherlands but also abroad. The United States ranks second and China is third.” How smart is this? Definitely a lot less boring than the rules in text? Also a fan of the new little figures? You can download them for free here.
