The 20 conditions to participate in MAFS

Since it became known that Married At First Sight Australia is most likely coming with an all-star season in 2021 , I have made it my personal mission to sign up. Well, I found where that can be done , but I wanted to be a bit prepared to go into this process... Because it all looks so fun (some couples less so, of course), but maybe they are really strict behind the scenes. And I can't have that, of course.
Very handy, because the Australian Women’s Health has really dived into it, and there are quite a few conditions you must meet and adhere to. So now I don't really know if I still want to. And whether I am even allowed to participate. Just read along.
1. You must not already be married — seems logical to me.
2. You are expected to participate wholeheartedly in this ‘social experiment’, with every aspect. Interesting detail: during the auditions, it is initially not revealed which program it is about.
3. You must live/want to live in the city where they want to film that year. But they are now a bit less strict about this, as there were quite a few long-distance couples in season 6.
4. You must be at least 25 years old.
5. It's okay if you have been seen in reality shows before, although they will check that you are not participating just for the fame. They don't want that.
6. You cannot work full-time and participate in this program. Even part-time becomes difficult. Either quit your job or take unpaid leave.
7. Psychological tests are obviously part of it. Question: how did Jess and Ines get through these?
8. Everything is scrutinized: whether you have a criminal record, or an addiction, but also how you dealt with your exes.
9. You can indicate your preferences for what you are attracted to, but ultimately you have no say at all.
10. During the filming, which lasts about two months, social media is not allowed.
11. You may have your phone with you, unless there are cameras present — then they are confiscated.
12. When the couples live together, nothing is paid for by the program except for the apartment. You may invite 20 people to your wedding. So 40 people in total..
13. Everyone present at the wedding must sign a confidentiality agreement.
14. Spontaneity at the wedding? Hardly. The vows and several moments often have to be redone for the camera, so they have all angles.
15. On days when filming takes place, you are surrounded by cameras for between 12 and 16 hours. Pffff.
16. Some couples are given a deadline to be home. If there is too much drama, for example, or if the.
17. experts think it is better for their relationship . Nice then.. But: you can always stop. Even a day before the wedding, you are not obliged to film.
18. Only after the finale has aired on TV, may you return to work. So you really need a substantial buffer if you don't want to go bankrupt.
19. And then the last one... And immediately the most bitter one for us: you must live in Australia. At least for the last two years. If I move now, maybe I can make it?.
