You can take the girl out of an island, but not the island out of the girl?  Maybe this is it, because I'm always up for one happy island as a vacation destination. CNTraveler researched which islands are considered the most beautiful in the world. For your travel list and mine, the five most beautiful islands in the world.

1. Hvar, Croatia
I think I have a vacation spot for June. Hvar has the looks of the tropics, the food of the Italians, and the feeling of an endlessly long vacation. Exactly what you need.

2. Puerto Rico, Caribbean
It was one of the recommendations of 2019, says CNTraveler, but also meets the demands of 2020, I think. Leave the crowded San Juan behind quickly and find a nice lazy beach with a similar accommodation. Puerto Rico, baby.

3. Whitsunday Islands, Australia
A great excuse to get on a plane again to the other side of the world, I think. I haven't seen the Whitsunday Islands live yet, but I have to, because Bora Bora seems to pale in comparison. And I find that quite a statement, but if you have one of the whitest beaches in the world as a trump card, then it could very well be.

4. Boracay, Philippines
Perhaps the most popular island in the Philippines, as it even closed for a while to recover from tourism. Since the fall, you can go again, but in moderation, so Boracay can remain the most beautiful island in the Philippines.

5. Isla Holbox, Mexico
For when you prefer to leave Cancún behind immediately, find Tulum too hyped, we present to you Isla Holbox. This is the quiet island life with white beaches that you must experience once in your life. A bit of the drink-with-your-butt-naked-milk-from-a-coconut feeling.
