The creators of Stranger Things are coming out with a new series

Never change a winning team. That is clear and Netflix thought so too. Funny that our favorite streaming service joined forces with one that is very well known in the Netherlands and the other... Well, not so much, I believe? Because the creators of Stranger Things (love it, everyone loves this) and The End Of The F*cking World are coming out with a new series. And yes, we all know the first one, of course. The second series is also on Netflix, but I haven't seen it. And to be honest: I do see it in the ‘trending‘ category, but I haven't heard anyone actually say they have watched one or more episodes of The End Of The F*cking World. If you have, please let me know in the comments what you thought of it. I'm quite curious, actually.

And please do that before February 26, because then this new series will be released.

I Am Not Okay With This it's called and I must say I find the title quite grim. But I believe that the series itself will be more lighthearted. The series revolves around a teenage girl (Sophia Lillis) who possesses supernatural powers and doesn't quite know how to handle them. Okay, that already explains the title. The series doesn't seem to get any grimmer, and several sites already find it a mix between Stranger Things and another Netflix Original: Sex Education.

Look, I'm totally on board with that mix. Both are my favorite series and I've already finished both series.

The similarities? Main character Sydney has enough struggles as a teenager in high school and is also tangled up with her sexuality. Crushes, accompanied by embarrassing moments with her crush and also many embarrassing moments in general; that's a bit what you can expect. I personally find it nice that it has a bit of the Stranger Things vibe. Quite a few decades back then.

Further fun facts: I Am Not Okay is based on a comic book, and those supernatural powers seem to be of a telekinetic nature. Does that mean a lot of moving objects then? I'm genuinely curious. The creators are promising, I think the trailer is cool, and I usually tend to disengage when something has a supernatural twist, but this sounds great. And with a reference like Stranger Things, you can't really come up with something bad, right? Exactly.
