The docuseries everyone is talking about

I am really not the worst at admitting my mistakes, and I fear that this is now a bit of an issue. Because when Netflix came out with a docuseries about Michael Jordan, I thought: fine, but I'm not going to watch that. Seems totally uninteresting to me. Now I must say that I am a bit influenced by the fact that I have never heard or read any encounter that Mr. Jordan is a nice person, but it also has to do with the fact that I never really experienced his heyday consciously. I was such a big fan of basketball back in elementary school. A big fan of Space Jam even more so, by the way, but I guessed that this Looney Tunes movie wouldn't really play a prominent role in this docuseries.
But okay, suddenly I got asked three times in one day if I had seen The Last Dance yet. The first time I acted very know-it-all because I thought it was about Save The Last Dance and DUH, of course, I have seen that movie. But no, it was about the Michael Jordan documentary that is available on Netflix. Regarding the title, I briefly thought it was a new docu about Michael Jackson instead of about Jordan. Well, what can I say... Sometimes I can be quite slow on the uptake.
And since I suffer from severe FOMO when it comes to... Everything, really, I had to watch this docu right away. So, said and done, and there I was on the couch Wednesday night with a blanket and food: all set for that marathon. With a bit of reluctance, because would this really be something? Well, I can tell you that this docuseries is really very cool. So far, that is, because entirely in non-Netflix style, not all episodes are released online at once.
Even if that Michael Jordan is a real jerk in real life, he is absolutely an interesting man. Never thought I would get so into basketball, and then the basketball era when I was just in elementary school. I am totally into The Last Dance. So excuse me, I am going to watch episode 6 now so that I am completely up to date and then wait until May 11, because then the next two episodes will be released online.
In any case, I can finally join the conversation with everyone who recommended this series to me. And yes, I admit my mistake: I had prejudices about this docu and I take them all back because it is really a recommendation.
