The outing that is allowed

May-Britt Mobach at the Pulitzer

Can you still remember the last time you went out? Stumbled home? Are you also fed up with that living room but want to follow the RIVM guidelines properly? Well, then I have the answer for you. Book a night in one of the most beautiful hotels in Amsterdam: the Pulitzer.

I am in love with the Pulitzer for many reasons. First of all because it is unique: it consists of 25 adjoining canal houses, which means no room is the same. The location is also superb, namely in the 9 Streets by the Prinsengracht. Thirdly, they have Santal 33 from Le Labo in the bathroom and oh, that bar, the garden, restaurant Jansz… Is there anything not nice?

Anyway, during this corona period it is important to treat yourself to an outing and support your locals. Win-win therefore. Book a room here, drink a cocktail or a hot chocolate in the winter garden with a view of the gigantic Christmas tree, eat (at a distance) in restaurant Jansz. and sleep in a bed so soft that it feels like you are lying in a bag of cotton.

During the Christmas holidays they have a special offer where you can sleep with two people and ‘use’ a Christmas dinner for €275 for two people. I can tell you: normally you wouldn't even sleep here for that. There are also family packages, children can pimp their hot chocolate with marshmallows during the Christmas holidays and they can decorate Christmas balls, so you can sit comfortably under a blanket next to a fire pit in the garden.

The staff wears masks and gloves, there is a limit to the number of guests so that it is quiet and the distance can be guaranteed. After eight o'clock, no more drinks are served and the tables in the restaurant are two and a half meters apart.
