There is a new David Attenborough documentary on Netflix again

The voice that makes me the most serene is still that of David Attenborough. So calming how he tells things. And then a lovely nature or animal documentary to go with it, and I don't worry about anything anymore, you know. Ultimate relaxation. Although the message of his documentaries is not always very uplifting... He could sincerely tell me that the earth will cease to exist in a week and I would find that quite okay. What you say, David. It's all fine.
Just a thought: David Attenborough should also conduct every bad news conversation ever, right? If something terribly wrong is happening to me, I want him to tell me in his calm tone. Just like he is now telling that the natural world is disappearing and that it's our fault.
The new documentary is called A Life On Our Planet and as he says himself, this film is his testimony and his vision for the future. And that is... Well, not great. And that's an understatement. Attenborough is now 93, and this documentary also feels a bit like a reflection on his — remarkable — life. On all his beautiful travels, particularly beautiful images, and all the places he has been.
But he also walks around Chernobyl. Talks about climate change, deforestation, overpopulation, and the use of all fuels... No, we have clearly not been very kind to our planet. And sometimes you need a documentary like this, with a David Attenborough who tells you that in detail. What an intensely beautifully made, but also intense documentary. Highly recommended.
