After two weeks of quarantine with heavy intake, I am going alcohol-free this week. Which actually means that a bottle can only be opened again on Friday. Therefore, I have decided that this must be my favorite wine or something that comes close. The waiting must be rewarded a little. I once enjoyed a Bernardus at thirty-five euros a glass on a rooftop in Abu Dhabi, where I even ordered two (!) of them, which comes suspiciously close to divine. But this weekend I will open May's favorite vino. A bottle of J. Lohr, which I first drank at her beach house. I confess: since then I drive five streets out of my way to stock up at Ton Overmars on Hoofddorpplein. Which brings me to the next point: where on earth do I order this Chardonnay online? A task for this week, I think. It can be nicely opened at the Friday afternoon drinks.
