Totally the shit: soon we will have festival drive-ins

Festival Drive-ins

Honestly: it was hard to swallow. All festivals are off this summer. Crying over Lowlands, Pinkpop, Mysteryland, you name it. It's also really strange that everything that is ‘not allowed’ suddenly seems extra interesting, or is it just me? More than ever, I now really feel like swinging my hair and shaking my booty. Is it really all impossible this summer? If a group of festival organizers in Belgium has its way, the fun is not over yet. They are currently looking into whether ‘Beat Park’ is possible – a kind of festival, but then drive-in, allowing you as a music lover to see your favorite artists perform live, but from your own car according to the rules of ‘social distancing’. You park your car in front of a stage and the artist does the rest for the drive-in party. Through a local FM frequency or wifi signal, the sound can be played through the car radio. And through a specially developed app, you can order food and drinks that will be brought to your car. The concept is already making waves in Belgium and similar drive-in party formulas have proven successful abroad. Naaaaa, isn't that just a really cool idea? Beat Park is currently in talks with several locations, but something in me says this is going to happen. Totally the end.

P.S.: The organization hopes to start on July 1 and you can already pre-register  if you want to be sure of tickets. Colleagues, shall we go? I'm definitely up for that goooooooood car party.
