Sigh. Gaudí's playground. The park that reminds me of my very first school trip. Every time I'm in Barcelona, I have to go there for a bit. What makes this place special? Actually just one thing. It's a glimpse into the particularly imaginative mind of Gaudí. The famous mosaics. A gigantic long bench with a giant snake winding over a square. The bright colors. The unusual architectural shapes. The little house that immediately makes you think of the gingerbread house of Hans & Gretel when you enter the park. Only when you get closer do you see how many details are incorporated into the park and how many hours of labor must have been put in to build it this way. With the cherry on top being the view over the city. If you have a trip to Barcelona planned soon, definitely make sure to visit Park Güell. You have to. Your Instagram feed will thank me later. Oh, and a tip: order your ticket (ten euros) online in advance, so you can skip that long line. HAVE FUN!
