Packages are always nice, but in times of corona it feels extra cozy when the doorbell rings unexpectedly and someone waves a package in front of you.

On Friday, I received a beautiful box from Jo Malone London that was specially made for the 150th (150!) anniversary of the Bijenkorf. Because of that, this package also felt a bit bittersweet, as in BC (before corona) March 23 was marked in the calendar to celebrate that our favorite department store has been with us for so long.

To celebrate that, the Bijenkorf and Jo Malone treated me to their Wild Bluebell Cologne and their Prize Wiener Lime, Basil & Mandarin hand cream, all in a box that we will keep.

The Bijenkorf itself may be closed, but online we are fully at your service. I decided to treat myself to a nice kitchen appliance, as it is certain that I will be making a lot in the coming time. And maybe I will also throw something from Jo Malone into my cart along the way. That could very well happen.

And just to wrap up, the best Jo Malone tip: spray some of the fragrance on your wooden front door. When someone rings the bell, they are welcomed by a lovely scent. If they can't come in, they still have something nice to enjoy.
