On the very first day of this month, it was my birthday and I got to blow out 21 candles. 21 yes, because the 10 that belong to get my actual age didn't fit on the cake. Now, a grande fiesta in these times was understandably quite difficult, so a distance drink with my best girlfriends became the plan. And honestly: I just felt really birthday-ish. It was actually nice with a smaller group, because then you really get to talk to everyone instead of rushing around all evening and making sure everyone is having a good time.

And what made me feel extra birthday-ish — it comes with the territory — were the gifts from one of my favorite stores, Anna + Nina. If you're familiar with their stores, then you know just like I do how greedy you get from all their stuff. Seriously: I want everything. All the rings, necklaces, and everything for the interior.

But I fell in love with their birthstone ring. Mine is a sapphire: it stands for truth and is supposed to stimulate honesty in relationships to make better decisions. I'm absolutely not into this, but the coincidence is that this timing would be a very good lesson for me. And let's be honest: doesn't this go with every outfit?
