“One in seven women gets breast cancer and for about a third, mastectomy is the chosen treatment.” I can't even imagine what it must be like to say goodbye to your breast(s), but Kamroen Farzan did it. After being diagnosed with breast cancer, she chose a mastectomy, which was successful but also very definitive. Kamroen: “I felt very powerful and was proud and grateful that my body had overcome breast cancer. But during my intimate moments, I was constantly confronted with an ugly scar. A scar for something that was no longer there, and in my perception, it was not the right symbol for overcoming that disease. At one point, I held a flower corsage for it, and that’s how the idea for Breastflower was born: a breast jewel that you stick on your skin at moments when you need it.” The breastflower is certainly not meant to mimic the shape of a breast, but to evoke exactly the right feeling. at the moment you want it. What a woman Kamroen is and what a beautiful initiative.
