Video message from the royal family
You may have noticed: the royal family was in Greece. On vacation. And almost all of the Netherlands had something to say about it, which meant: end of vacation. Within 24 hours they were back on Dutch soil. But of course, that was not the last word on the matter, because the Netherlands was still angry. So that’s why the royal family has just come out with a video message.

A video message in which they apologize for their choice to go to Greece. That it was a mistake. That they are ‘involved, but not infallible’. One can only hope that everyone is now done expressing criticism of the royal couple. Amalia and Alexia only returned last night (that was announced yesterday) and again, everyone had a lot to say about that.
My idea is: shall we return to the order of the day? Let’s complain together about corona, the hospitality industry being closed, that sort of thing? I think it’s at least a bit of let’s move on and continue.
And then I realize that I hope that the couch where Willem-Alexander and Máxima are sitting is really just for show. It looks so uncomfortable, doesn’t it? Yeah sorry, I have a thing for couches; they need to be good for lounging and I can hardly imagine that they don’t have a few subscriptions in the royal family as well.
