We are addicted to Love Is Blind on Netflix
Today no tip of a series is coming. No, today the absolute best tip that is already online on Netflix. So you can watch it right away. Hoppaaaa. And yes, you want to watch it too. We are completely addicted here. Love Is Blind is reality TV as I love it most: American and completely over the top.
And completely in line with the American aspect, they don't just call this a reality series, no: it is a ‘social experiment’. Hm-hm. Sure. Nick Lachey presents the show, in other words, the ex-husband of Jessica Simpson or the man with whom she had a reality show that was also delightfully over the top. Perfect man for this, seems to me.
But well, as the title suggests, it's about finding love. Well, it is found, you know. I'm talking about marriage proposals after four episodes. Love declarations are flying at you. DELIGHTFUL. Oh yes, and did I already mention that the contestants can't see each other? It. Is. Amazing.
Thirty men and women (who can't see each other) are rotated and thus couples are formed, with the ultimate goal: weddings. Weddings everywhere. So people get engaged here and there without having seen each other for even a second. Oh, the tears that come with it. And the worst part is that those people seem to mean it too.
When do they see each other then? Well, quite reasonably, a month before the wedding. So this is Married At First Sight with a hefty dose of American hysteria added. I did say it was crazy, didn't I? But the creators are not entirely unreasonable... Before they say “I do”, they have to go through all the standard relationship things: first vacation, meeting parents, that kind of stuff.
And then, during the very last episode, we find out if they go through with the wedding. And I might make you extra happy by telling you that this episode has been on Netflix since today. Can't. Wait. Must. Watch. Now.
