6 destinations for when you don't necessarily need to cross the border

At every destination that turns yellow, I have the tendency to pop open a bottle of champagne. I find it a pleasure that the world is opening up a bit again. Although I would like to give a special mention to our own country, which suddenly turns out to meet just about everything we need. It has beaches, it has super deluxe houses with hot tubs, it has amazing views, and you really feel like you're on vacation there. Don't need to go far from home this summer? Adeline the vacation broker at your service: these are destinations to drool over.

1, 2, 3, 4, paper house
I actually want to live in a Wikkelhouse. How cool is a house made of paper with a raincoat around it? They are located all over the Netherlands, but you can find this one on the water in Stavoren or as the Frisians say: Staveren. The location immediately gives you that better vacation feeling.

This is camping at its best
Now, I'm not much of a camping enthusiast, because I just don't feel happy zipping open a tent on my knees at the entrance. But here I even make an exception. This is like stepping into the spontaneous life of a nomad, who has arranged everything excellently for themselves.

Wow, in Gelderland
Gather your family, stock up at your local caterer, and head to Tonden. This spot is right in the woods, and with the enormous windows, you miss nothing of what happens outside. Only then in a nice luxurious accommodation, nothing wrong with that, I would say. This is your destination if you love a nice walk.

Enjoying the sun by the sea
The temperatures are not lying this week, so you don't have to go far for a beach holiday. With a house in Ouddorp by the sea, you feel like you're in France, with the only difference being that it's really much less of a drive. Is it a bit cooler? Then you can dive into the sauna in the dunes for some more tropical temperatures.

Super deluxe in the woods
Every time I'm surfing for a long weekend away, I end up at this house in Norg. Maybe it's the fireplace, maybe it's the sauna in the woods, maybe it's the hot tub, maybe it's the nice interior, or maybe it's a combination of all that. Whatever it is, this one is at the top of my list.

On to Schoorl
Schoorl is just a bit quieter than the popular Bergen aan Zee, but has everything to make you feel at home. It borders the Kennemerduinen, which look stunning and foreign. Schoorl itself is cozy. And let's not forget that expansive beach.
