8 life questions you should try to find an answer to before turning 30

kiki blanket sitting on the floorCan I blame it on the lockdown, or is it the life stage I'm in? Suddenly, I'm more than ever questioning ‘why’. Why do things happen the way they do? Why are we on earth and what is our purpose? Why do I suddenly want to know all of this NOW?

And that's why today I present 8 questions you might not consciously think about, but which can be incredibly enlightening. Thanks to The Business Insider, what a chill website it is when you have questions about work or life.

If I were to die tomorrow, would I be satisfied with my life?
Are you happy with how you are organizing everything now? Or are you still doing too many things that you actually don't want to do? Especially if you are unhappy, it is important to keep evaluating how you spend your time. What factors make you a happy person?

What am I really good at?
Think about it. Everyone has a natural strength. Something that perhaps doesn't even stand out anymore because it seems so obvious. Is there something you can do easily that others find very difficult?

Who inspires me?
Think of the person you most want to aspire to. Who is it? What attracts you to their story or character? Write down the words that come to mind. It can tell you a lot about what kind of person you hope to become.

Why do I get up in the morning?
Perhaps one of the hardest questions on the list to answer, but nevertheless, we all have a deeper purpose. The sooner you discover that, the sooner you can start putting all your energy into it.

Whom do I love and how have I shown them that?
Your friends and family cannot sense how you feel. So let them know that you care about them. Close relationships and friendships are essential for happiness and a long life.

What is my definition of success?
Is it power, fame, money? Feeling good about yourself? Or do you find fulfillment when you can fully develop your talents? You need to define what ‘success’ means for yourself. That can be a valuable guide when making decisions.

Would my 5-year-old self be proud of me?
You as a little grape were not afraid to dream big. How do you feel about that now? Do you limit yourself in your dreams? Sometimes you need to check if you are still true to your deepest core values.

Where will I be in a few years if I continue on the current path?
That whole where-do-I-want-to-be-in-five-years plan can sometimes feel more constricting than liberating. Instead, ask yourself where you will end up if you continue on the current path for the next five years. Then you can decide whether you find that an attractive prospect or not. Is the answer meh? Then see where you can make adjustments. Things never get better ‘on their own’. You don't bring about change if you don't invest energy in it. You steer the ship. Not satisfied? Then adjust your course.
