The Pizookie is a gigantic chocolate chip cookie shaped like a pizza. Not savory, but completely sweet. And an XL warm filled chocolate chip cookie, do we need to say more? Not really, so let's get to work!
Ingredients
- 225 grams unsalted butter (at room temperature)
- 150 grams granulated sugar
- 150 grams light brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 250 grams of flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 170 grams dark chocolate chopped into pieces
- 150 grams of Nutella
This Pizookie is crispy and chewy and consists of a buttery chocolate chip cookie dough on the outside with a warm stream of Nutella on the inside. Served warm from the oven together with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream, this is truly an ultimate family dessert!
Here's how to make the Pizookie
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
- Mix the butter with the sugar for about two minutes until fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time and mix until all the egg is well incorporated into the batter. Then add the vanilla extract.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet and stir with a spatula until combined.
- Then fold the chocolate pieces into the batter.
- Press half of the cookie dough into a greased baking pan. Spread the Nutella on the cookie dough but leave 1 centimeter of space at the edges. Then press the other half of the cookie dough on top and sprinkle the last chocolate pieces over it.
- Bake the Pizookie golden brown for 20-30 minutes in the oven.
- Let the Pizookie cool for 5 minutes before serving it with ice cream.
