Bridgerton is getting a spin-off

This was somewhat to be expected, but really already now? The second season isn't even out yet (I don't think the recordings have even started), but a third and fourth season are already secured. And now also a spin-off. That Netflix has confidence in the entire Bridgerton universe is clear, despite the fact that I seem to be the only one in the whole of the Netherlands who just couldn't get through it. I made three attempts, but each time I found the inside of my eyes clearly more interesting, because I fell into a coma three times. Now I must say that I do find the whole chaos surrounding Rege-Jean Page (who doesn't want to return) quite juicy again.
But well, Bridgerton fans: you will have nothing to complain about. The confirmed spin-off will revolve around Queen Charlotte, particularly focusing on her youth and how she became who she is now. Violet Bridgerton and Lady Danbury will also be seen in their younger years. Shonda Rhimes is again behind the script, just like with Bridgerton itself, so the atmosphere will be just right.
‘Shonda and her team are carefully expanding the Bridgerton universe so they can continue to provide fans with high-quality content and the style they love. By planning and preparing the upcoming seasons in advance, we hope to maintain a certain pace,’ says Bela Bejaria from Netflix. Look, they understand it: pace is indeed what we want. Can you also pass that on to the makers of Sex Education? We've been waiting a long time for that one.
Further release dates have not yet been announced, but it sounds promising. Maybe I'll give it a fourth try after all, because it looks like we won't be getting rid of Bridgerton anytime soon.
