But yes, a reality series of Emily in Paris is coming
Opinions were quite divided about the series Emily in Paris. I personally watched it in one sitting, but that's nothing new considering my Netflix habits. The criticism was mainly that such a young girl had a pretty impressive resume for her age. In short, the job didn't quite match her further career. I must honestly admit that this doesn't bother me at all. I was too busy looking at the outfits (although there was some criticism about that too), daydreaming about Paris, and I really didn't think much about it anyway, and that wasn't necessary for this series.
But anyway, criticism or not, it was watched quite well and a second season is already on the way. But there's more. Because daydreaming about Paris, with such a dream job and the accompanying parties... That's something we all want, of course. And thus a new concept has been born: a reality series à la Emily in Paris is coming.
They are currently busy with casting, as can be seen on Instagram. So if you are between 21 and 35, American, and living in Paris, who knows, this might be your calling. In the series, they will showcase the ‘larger-than-life American expats and their fabulous lives’, so I think it will definitely be a treat. Do you remember that we also had our own Models in Paris, with a very young Famke Louise? Well, who knows, it might be something like that. But probably ten times more glamorous.
Apparently, there is also a mega network behind it; it is being approached on a grand scale. Will this be the replacement for the Kardashians? Hopefully, we will find out soon enough, as the plan is to start filming this fall. On y vaaaaa.
