These celebrities were arrested for a sex crime

Now quite a few celebrities have been in jail for various reasons. These celebrities too, but they have one big thing in common: the reason they are or were there. That is for a sex crime. I can tell you that there are quite a few surprising faces among them, but I must also tell you in advance that a ‘sex crime’ in America is a pretty broad term. And so there is more than a small difference between an R. Kelly and a Brad Pitt. Because yes, the latter is also on the list.

1. Bryan Singer
For some time, rumors have circulated that this director was not entirely kosher. Underage boys were victims of this, as came to light in 2017: he was convicted of the rape of a seventeen-year-old boy, which took place in 2003.

2. Sean Penn
Seems like such a good actor, but besides that, he is not really a nice guy. In 1988, he was arrested after he beat his wife Madonna (yes, that Madonna), tied her to a chair, and taped her mouth shut. He then left the house to sell alcohol. What a freak.

3. Roman Polanski
This director was convicted of the rape of a 13-year-old girl. He was also accused of having drugged her — that charge was dropped when he confessed to ‘statutory rape’. When Polanski suspected that the judge would impose a prison sentence instead of a suspended sentence, he fled to America. So he has never served a day for this crime.

4. Brad Pitt
Whuuut? No worries, this is a funny one. Brad Pitt has ‘indecent exposure’ on his criminal record after he showed his bare butt on the Pacific Coast Highway in California. HAHA. And then you have a sex crime on your record.

5. Tupac Shakur
The deceased rapper was convicted in a rape case in 1993, in which he allegedly also assaulted the girl. He admitted to having had sex with her but said it was consensual. That ultimately did not help: he was charged with first-degree sexual abuse.

6. Tommy Lee
Another funny one: he dropped his pants during a bow he made at one of his concerts in 1990. That earned him a criminal record (just like Brad Pitt) for indecent exposure. Additionally, he had to pay a fine of $1647. Expensive joke.

7. Anthony Kiedis
The lead singer of the Red Hot Chili Peppers also failed to keep his clothes on: he took them off during a concert and received a fine for — you guessed it — indecent exposure. Additionally, he was also sued for sexual violence that allegedly took place during the same concert.

8. R. Kelly
Well, I think everyone knows what this guy has done. In 2002, a video came out in which R. Kelly had sex and urinated on a minor girl. No idea how, but he was declared innocent in 2008. In 2019, it happened again: he faced no less than ten charges for criminal sexual acts with underage girls; the ages ranged from 13 to 16.

9. Danny Masterson
Scientology follower and former actor who single-handedly ruined his career when it came to light in 2020 that he was guilty of raping three women. It also turned out that he had been on the police's radar since 2016, as that was when the investigation into him began in various cases of sexual assault.

10. Mike Tyson
In 1992, he was found guilty of assault. The victim was eighteen-year-old Desiree Washington, who had become Miss Black Rhode Island. He received a hefty sentence: he had to serve three years for this.
