Cheers: The Amsterdam Wine Marathon is coming up
Say wine, snacks or haute cuisine and the gourmands at online food magazine FavorFlav know where to drink, how to eat it and what to cook. This time our cheffies serve you: the Amsterdam Wine Marathon.
A marathon for which you don't need the fitness of a bear, where you won't get blisters (except on your tongue, from chatting) and where you can also show up in your nicest clothes at the start. Along the way, you drink wine instead of water and the necessary energy for the journey comes from the matching bites. The Amsterdam Wine Marathon truly makes the hearts of foodies race.
Wine and snacks
Haven't seen the inside of a gym for a year and a half and haven't moved much either? No stress! For the Amsterdam Wine Marathon, your fitness doesn't play the biggest role; that is reserved for your taste buds. Running through the city: it's allowed, but not necessary. Walking is also fine. Along the way, you won't be offered water-soaked sponges or brightly colored sports drinks, but glasses wine and matching snacks. This is truly the most fun and delicious marathon ever.
At least 40 wine stops
Amsterdam will be dedicated to wine tasting and drinking on the terraces of the coolest eateries in Amsterdam for a month (from June 19 to July 19, 2021). Along the way, you can make at least 40 wine stops. On the route, which you can make as long as you want, various eateries* are spread throughout the city where you can plop down for the necessary hydration (read: wine tasting) and to lay a foundation to continue your course.
And if you already have muscle pain or find the place you're sitting in so nice that you'd rather stay? With this marathon, that's just fine!
Your ticket
We organize the Amsterdam Wine Marathon together with Amsterdam.Restaurant, the fun platform created to support the hospitality industry on one hand and to make the lives of foodies even more enjoyable on the other. We kick off with the Amsterdam Wine Marathon. Your ticket? A foodie pass. This costs €5. And the nice thing is: with this, you are also on the guest list for other foodie events. From food hikes, quizzes to festivals, you name it!
Always something extra
This is how Amsterdam.Restaurant always arranges culinary extras at the trendiest and tastiest restaurants. From a delicious Spanish tapas with a jug of sangria at La Cerveceria, a free snack at Bukowski, and even a fancy starter at No Rules! All you have to do is pay 5 euros. You can do this once, monthly, or as long as you want to benefit from it. Every 5 euros stands for 1 month of unlimited enjoyment of all the fun food parties and extras.
