Beauty on a budget

For the latest beauty trends, skincare, and cleansing rituals, I usually kindly refer you to our Lotte, because I don't have much experience with that. I often let myself be influenced by everything, use a mix of products, and just do whatever. Deep down, you can probably relate to this, right? But for about two years now, I have finally managed to bring some consistency to my skincare routine in my 26 years of existence, and now there is one brand that has remained consistent in my skincare routine and is also very affordable.

I'm talking about Cien, the skincare line from the Lidl (now available for shopping with a 30% discount) that accidentally ended up in my shopping cart and has never really left due to my satisfaction. The fact that this was a very good choice is further confirmed by the fact that this €3.99 Cien Cellular Beauty Day Cream is often compared to the cream of a high-end and much more expensive brand. Look, we love that, but how is that possible? I did a little research.

Unfortunately, the claim that the Cien Cellular Beauty Cream is a duplicate of a cream that is almost thirty times more expensive is not true. However, there are a number of ingredients found in the Cien Cellular Beauty line that are also present in very expensive reputable brands, and especially Myramaze (an active ingredient made up of various components) is an interesting one. I had never heard of it myself, but it seems to be a real wonder ingredient. In fact, it has the nickname ‘the perfect skin formula’. Myramaze is known for its skin cell renewing properties that promote a healthy and smooth skin. Exactly what we want, right? It also works extremely hydrating, and I think our skin could really use that in this dry and cold time of year.

Spending hundreds of euros on a good day cream is just a bit too much for me, especially when a healthy and smooth skin can also be achieved for €3.99. For now, I will continue to enjoy using my beloved Cien. If your Christmas wishlist is still a bit sparse or you are looking for a gift yourself, I recommend the Cien gift set with the day and night cream. A nice gift for the even nicer price tag of €7.99. Great for you, but certainly also for whoever your Santa may be.
