Do it tonight: a wine workout

sounds like a great plan, but can we do it Saturday night instead of Tuesday? We’ll have plenty of time.” Always works.

Say wine, snacks or haute cuisine and the gourmands at online food magazine FavorFlav know where to drink, how to eat it and what to cook. This time our cheffies serve you: the wine workout.

With a dwindling supply Chipito’s and a shrinking mountain of comfort chocolate, the guilt starts to nibble a little: shouldn't we exercise? But yes, the gym is closed. Luckily: fitgirl April to the rescue. For her wine workout you don't need complicated fitness equipment, just two (full!) bottles of wine.

April Storey is a fitgirl who creatively deals with challenges as a young mother. Gym? She usually doesn't have time for that, so she just does her fitness exercises at home. And she uses items that are lying around the house, like the stroller of the youngest, or... bottles of wine. She posts videos of her workouts on YouTube, so everyone in corona quarantine can benefit from it now.

Wine as a bonus
In her Wine Workouts, she shows what exercises you can do with wine bottles as weights. Because a full bottle of merlot is just as good as a light dumbbell, with the bonus: you also have something to enjoy after the workout. Have you switched to bag-in-box during these crisis times? No problem, because April uses that for her push-ups.

Workout with toilet rolls
Fitness guru Arie Boomsma also reassures us: working out at home during times of crisis can be very effective. He posts his training videos on Videoland and promises exercises with a tea towel or a stack of toilet rolls as equipment. Every weekday, a new workout from Arie is online.
