See: the first images from the Downton Abbey movie

March 18, 2022 is a date you might want to keep an eye on. That's when the Downton Abbey movie hits theaters. The first trailer has just dropped and it looks good. A bit like the voice of Martien Meiland: ‘so goooood.’ Anyway, I'm a big fan of Maggie Smith (she's really been around 70 in my mind for decades and doesn't seem to age?), so I'll catch every movie with her, but this one for sure.

That setting, the costumes, the actors and actresses, it all looks so cool again. I initially read a lot of criticism online about the movie because the true fans preferred to keep it as a series, but I bet they will have to admit they were wrong: this is going to be a success.

And thankfully the theme song has remained the same, because I was a bit anxious about that. No need to worry thankfully. Now let's hope that Maggie Smith is on screen for more than a few minutes and then it can't go wrong as far as I'm concerned.
