Everything you want to know about the First Family

After the press conference, I immediately switched to CNN. I wanted to see everything about the inauguration, even if it was just to make sure that Donald and Melania Trump were really gone. I sat on the edge of my seat for seven hours, ready to cheer and cry. Because: Kamala as the first VP and Joe Biden, who you can just tell is not there for himself but to make changes. The fist bump between Joe and Barack, the joy of Kamala and Michelle, but above all: the great and beautiful First Family. And now we want to know everything about them.


First of all: First Lady Dr. Jill Biden
In 1977, Joe married Jill. He proposed to her, by his own account, five times before she said yes. Jill is Joe's second wife; his first wife Neilia died along with their daughter Naomi in a car accident. Jill is a teacher and has been teaching English at Northern Virginia Community College since 2009. By the way, she continues to do that now that she is First Lady. A first time for everything, because that has never happened in history.

Eldest son Beau
During Joe's inauguration, a man in uniform knelt at the grave of his son Beau, who died in 2015 from a brain tumor. Beau was the son of Joe and Neilia. Beau had two children with his wife Hallie: Natalie (16) and Robert (14). He was a military man and served, among other places, in Iraq.

His son Hunter (50)
Perhaps the most talked-about child of Joe and Neilia, as he was frequently in the news. Business-wise, but also personally. Hunter had three children with his first wife Kathleen: Naomi, Finnegan, and Maisy. Hunter has two younger children as well. In 2018, he had a child with Lunden Alexis Roberts, whom he initially denied being the biological father of, until the court ruled otherwise. In March 2020, he had a son with his wife Melissa Cohen, whom he married six days after they met. They named him Beau, after his brother.

Joe's daughter Naomi (1)
The president has a sad family history. Not only did his son die, but his wife and daughter also perished in a car accident. On the way back from Christmas shopping, their car was struck by the trailer of a tractor. His wife and daughter died, and his two sons were taken to the hospital. Joe considered stepping down from his role as senator, but people around him convinced him to continue. He was sworn in at the bedside of his son Beau.


Ashley (39), the daughter of Joe and Jill
Together with his wife Jill, Joe had another daughter: Ashley. The 39-year-old from Delaware is a social worker, activist, and fashion designer. In 2012, she married Howard Krein, a plastic surgeon from Philadelphia. Ashley wasn't always a model citizen; she was once arrested for verbally assaulting a police officer. And there seems to be a video somewhere of her consuming a line of coke. Her brother Beau set her up with Howard. Ashley campaigned for her father Joe.

The eldest grandchild
Naomi (26) is the daughter of Hunter and his first wife Kathleen. For the picture: Naomi was the woman in white at the inauguration. She recently graduated from Columbia Law School and has quite a few political ambitions. Then it seems to me that you were born into the right family, Naomi. Joe's granddaughter often appeared during his campaign. She is named after Joe Biden's first daughter. Naomi is in a relationship with Peter Neal. Granddaughter Finnegan
The 20-year-old, who appeared yesterday in monochrome camel, is not as visible as her older sister Naomi, although she occasionally pops up in an Instagram snapshot from her sister.
