Kamala, Jill and the outfits

Whoever says it's superficial to talk about outfits can go stand in the corner now. Because what you wear can be an extension of what you think and say. And for Jill Biden and Kamala Harris, the outfit you wear during the inauguration is something that will go down in history. Moreover, they can underline their ideals with their creations. Melania will probably always have prioritized the beauty of a look above all else. For Kamala Harris and Jill Biden, there are other things that matter.
Let me go through it with you. There are two outfits that both ladies wore yesterday. One was at the commemoration of the 400,000 victims that corona has caused in the US. Kamala wore a camel-colored coat by Pyer Moss, a New York-based, black talented designer.
At that same ceremony, Jill Biden wore a purple ensemble. Purple because that color symbolizes unity and merging, something that is perhaps highest on her husband's agenda. Her outfit was designed by Jonathan Cohen, a designer born in Mexico and living in New York.

During the inauguration, Kamala Harris wore a purple coat and dress by Christopher John Rogers, a young, black designer who, and that's why I already love him, says you should never sacrifice your personality and dress differently just because you would be taken more seriously that way. So lots of color and exuberance to Christopher John Rogers. In his runway shows, he also ensures a lot of diversity among the models, which of course aligns very well with the ideals of Kamala and Joe. Yes, I can say Kamala and Joe.
I could talk for hours about the outfits and about the jackets of Kamala's nieces and the beauty of Joe Biden's daughter. We will all do that, but in separate pieces.
