Fans of Virgin River: this will be your series

Netflix series On the Verge

Oohh Netflix, how happy I am with you lately. Where the Dutch summer disappoints, you really haven't in the past few months. Okay, it was a bit of a lull, but that's the case everywhere. And to be fair: you gave us a lot of series and movies in return. I'm especially excited about what's to come. I feel like I've been waiting ages for that third season of Sex Education and that wait is almost over. But you also announced that The Office will be fully available (thank you for that) and Friends is still there too. My only request would be to bring back Gossip Girl and put the reboot on as well, because then I would be completely happy.

Not that I have a lot of time left for all those new series, because now another one has been announced that I absolutely want to see but time-wise I'm already quite full with all those new addictions. But okay, we will make it work. The latest addition is called On The Verge, which has been online since today. And if you're a fan of Virgin River (I think everyone is): this series is totally for you. It has a bit of the same feeling as Sweet Magnolias and Firefly Lane, so you already get a sense of what to expect.

In On The Verge, we follow four middle-aged friends who are all in the same boat. That means: a midlife crisis. Not knowing what you want, can, and should do in life. These four friends have the same kind of problems, even though they are all completely different: a wealthy heiress, an unemployed person, a single mother, and a chef. So expect a lot of struggles around work and of course love.

Unlike Virgin River, On The Verge is set in a world city: Los Angeles. But no worries, it will absolutely not be glamorous like in The Hills. Well, just check the trailer for a bit, because then you'll be sold. I'm sure of it.
