In 10 steps: how to plan your party like a pro

Last week we celebrated Enzo's wild one, a party that had to be celebrated grandly. It was definitely a success, especially with a lot of anticipation for me from the party prepping and planning itself. The necessary tips and tricks have now been gathered and are sufficient for a ten-step plan to strengthen the organization of your next party. So whether you have a baby shower, dirty thirty, or children's party on the party planning list, with this package you celebrate it at its very best:
1. Location check
Before you buy and think of everything and anything, it is important to be sure of your location. Whether it's at home, in a park, or at a fancy spot, once you know where you're celebrating, you really know what does and doesn't match at the place to be. First things come first.
2. Pinterest, Pinterest, and more Pinterest
Pinterest is truly the paradise when it comes to inspiration for a cool party. Tip: create a mood board for the respective party and save everything that inspires you, then scroll through all the saved images a second time and keep the most matching and especially realistic images while removing the rest.
3. Choose a theme
And especially the corresponding color palette and any prints. This way, you can easily keep everything in sync without something mismatching with the rest on the big day.
4. The invitation
Once you've chosen your theme, it's time for the invite. You should also be on Pinterest for this. Think of it as the business card of your party, so make it something cool so your guests immediately realize that an amazing party is on the way.
5. Score with your cake
A cake is the eye-catcher of your party, where you can emphasize your theme in a super cool way. Definitely worth investing extra in!
6. Department: gifts
Create a special spot for the gifts to prevent chaos upon arrival. This way, you have extra attention for the guests and the fun, and you don't lose, no matter how sweet all the gifts are, all the time unpacking and tidying up all the beautiful things. Personally, I find it much more enjoyable to read, unpack, and look at everything at a quiet moment than amidst all the hustle and bustle.
7. Small details
Confetti on the table, flowers in a vase, candles, a garland with a personal quote, or polaroids tied to helium balloons: small details do more than good and often make all the beauty around you one cohesive whole.
8. The thank you
I personally find this very nice: a thank you for everyone who was there, gave you something beautiful, and made your day one to never forget. I mean: that's the least (aside from that delicious cake you treated them to, haha) you can give back to your guests, right? And for them, of course, also a very nice keepsake.
9. Your party pants
Well, your outfit. It should match perfectly with your theme and color palette, like duh.
10. Picture perfect
To not run around like a madman with a camera through the crowd, I suggest asking someone. There are probably enough kind people around you who have offered help and who, aside from blowing up balloons, might have slipped your mind for taking photos. Hand it over and trust it. You'll see that the most amazing photos will be sent to you afterwards.
