Is the name of Meghan and Harry's daughter mentioned here?

Let the guessing begin, because the moment could be any day now. We don't know the exact date, but the fact that Meghan is going to give birth sometime this summer is something that is certain. And so the guessing of names has really started. This has become somewhat of a tradition, even though I don't think it has ever been guessed correctly. In fact, with son Archie, not a single site got it right: that name was nowhere to be found before his birth.

But okay, new round, new chances. And to be honest; speculating about names is just fun. Especially fun to read about, by the way, because how much energy and effort some people put into this research... It really goes far. People I dove in for a moment and a few names came up that Harry and/or Meghan have previously indicated they found nice.

First contender: Amy. That suggestion was made by a seven-year-old girl named Megan, who met almost-namesake Meghan Markle. Both have the nickname Meg and that immediately created a bond. During that conversation, this Megan suggested that they might name their daughter Amy. ‘That’s a really pretty name, I like it. We’ll have to think about it,’ was Meghan's response at the time. Enough reason to count this as a serious contender.

Next up isssss: Harriet. That name came onto the radar after Harry visited Melbourne and met a fan with a baby named Harriet. This fan later told the British tabloids that he had said: ‘That’s a great name.’ Add to that that Harriet is the female variant of his own name and you have quite a few good arguments that this could very well be it.

No, seriously: these arguments really don't make any sense, do they? Those two had a public role in which they constantly have to be cheerful and nice. I don't think you should take empty compliments like ‘that's a beautiful name’ to a fan's baby very seriously. And if a seven-year-old girl gives you a suggestion, you don't respond by saying she should mind her own business and that you think it's a stupid suggestion. Then you would have the whole world on your back. So what do you do? Just smile and wave. And give compliments that will haunt you for years.

Furthermore, names like Diana and Elizabeth are of course mentioned a lot (with really grounded arguments), but I bet there will be a name that no one has considered? I'm actually really curious now and to be honest: I think Amy is nice. It also fits well with Archie. Good suggestion, seven-year-old Megan!
