The always-may-always-summer drink with a pinch of alcohol

I don't know if it's just me, but it seems like everyone around me is sipping on alcohol a little less frequently. We want to be fit and fresh, increasingly aware that too much alcohol is not good for people, but at the same time, we still want to enjoy a little and occasionally push ‘the edge of the day’. A tiny bit of relaxation and letting our hair down, and sometimes a pinch of alcohol helps with that. But in moderation, in moderation.

Enter the Fizz drinks: fresh, sparkling drinks with a hint of alcohol. Better for the waistline and liver, and also nice to stay a bit sharp in your head.

The Dutch company De Kuyper (yes, the one from the Orange Spritz) has launched some fun Fizzy’s on the market. Fizzy Passion Fruit, Fizzy Strawberry, and Fizzy Watermelon. I'll quickly list what I find so handy about them.

1. They come in cans
You throw them in a cooler bag and off you go, onto the boat or to the beach. Everyone has their own can (corona-proof) and no hassle with corkscrews that you've of course forgotten).

2. They look too cute: douze points for the design

3. They contain 4.5 percent alcohol, so nice and light for a boat trip or a picnic

4. Less alcohol means fewer calories and is therefore better for the belly

5. They are DELICIOUS, really very delicious

Mays tip: Fill your glass with ice cubes, add some fruit for looks, throw in a wooden straw, and then the most important ingredient: fun company. Really, this is going to be our summer, cheers!
