Vandaag eten we bij Jansz. Amsterdam

One of the most beautiful places in Amsterdam remains the Pulitzer for me. Because of the building itself, because of the courtyard but also because of the hotel rooms and the accompanying restaurant. Everything there is top-notch Amsterdam, right in the center but it really feels very secluded. On a sunny Sunday, I can often be found in the courtyard, and now that the weather is a bit (understatement) less, I find myself back inside the restaurant. Jansz. always remains a favorite: I was there on Wednesday and they have a new menu. And you can guess: it's worth another visit.

Nowadays I try to eat a bit less meat. In the past, I would sometimes go for meat for both the starter and main course (unfortunately, I am allergic to fish and shellfish), but I try to order something more varied each time. So for the starter, it was the cauliflower and seriously: unbelievably delicious. With peanuts and a spicy sauce underneath for which I really want to know the recipe. I guess based on peanuts too, but oh so tasty. Then came the steak and lobster (for my +1) and I thought I would be full afterwards, until I had the menu in front of me again. Salted caramel peanut butter sundae? Eh, YES please.

So if you often think of Jansz. because of their beautiful courtyard and summer days, think of them now that the sun is gone. I enjoyed it again.
