Never waste sushi again

Say wine, snacks or haute cuisine and the gourmands at online food magazine FavorFlav know where to drink, how to eat it and what to cook. This time our cheffies serve you: tips to stop wasting sushi.

Sushi? Anytime! From hand rolls to sashimi and from nigiri to maki. My mouth waters just thinking about it. But I hadn't heard of Forgotten Ends sushi until recently. I just had one of those ‘sushi’, or actually a Japanese bowl, and I'm going to do that more often. Because besides the fact that it's very tasty, there's more to the story with the Forgotten Ends.

Now you might be wondering what those Forgotten Ends are. Well: they are the ends of the sushi rolls that are normally thrown away when the roll is neatly cut. The sushi chefs at Sushi Daily have recently started collecting these ends and transforming them into a Japanese bowl, which is sold at a lower price in the store. This way, the sushi ends are no longer forgotten, but eaten. I think it's a beautiful and tasty initiative.

Eat sushi, support a good cause
A bowl of Forgotten Ends costs €1.95, of which 20 cents goes to Action Against Hunger. You can find Sushi Daily in supermarkets, train stations, and airports. Extra delicious with a splash of our favorite Japanese Kewpie sauce.
