Oh yes, WhatsApp has a new feature

An app like WhatsApp naturally needs to keep up with the times, so a new feature has been added again. Honestly: I'm not going to use this, but I think others will find it very handy. In fact, who knows, you might hardly need Snapchat anymore.
Of course, you could already post stories on your WhatsApp and Snapchat (seriously: do people do this?), which are visible for 24 hours. Just like on Instagram. But here they take it a step further towards those apps: you can now also send photos that automatically disappear after being opened once. Really à la Snapchat. Oh, and it also works with videos.
They want to give users more control over their privacy with this. But what I don’t understand is: if you take a screenshot or record with your phone, the other person doesn’t get a notification about it. Isn’t that a bit strange? If you add such a new feature, there’s immediately a very simple loophole that people can use. Because you know that if you receive such a temporary photo, it’s probably something juicy, so there’s a good chance you’re already ready for that screenshot. And the other person will never know.
A bit of extra info: the photo or video must be opened within fourteen days, otherwise it disappears automatically. And if you receive bizarre things: you can still report these images. I’m really curious how this feature will be used. The plan is to make it available to all users in the coming days. And how it will work then?
If you send a photo via WhatsApp or take one in the app itself, you need to click on the bottom right, on the icon with the number 1 in it. And then send. Voilà. A child can do the laundry.
