Because actually everything about it was already wrong. For one, Armie was a married man who didn't just have one affair, but a whole range of girls he kept on the side. Besides being a notorious cheater, Armie Hammer also turned out to have cannibalistic tendencies. Uh, WHUT? Because it’s so bizarre, my first instinct was to chuckle, because you can't possibly mean this. Well, he does mean it, and it doesn't look too good for the actor.
Rightly so, by the way. Because more and more victims are coming forward, and if all this is true, he has abused and mistreated multiple girls for years, many of whom were minors at the time. They all describe him as manipulative: he made them feel guilty if they didn't want to go as far as he did, and downright dangerous.
The Instagram account @houseofeffie is the first to step forward publicly and made all the DMs, texts, messages, and even voice memos public. Messages in which he claimed to be ‘100% a cannibal’, in which he admitted to having cut out a heart from a living deer and then ate it. That he found it exciting when he raped this Effie, while she was crying and trying to crawl to the door. Photos of the bruises and wounds he inflicted were also made public by several victims.
Seriously, it’s really a rabbit hole that you can’t believe. And the strange thing is, unfortunately, that according to the media, because he is a handsome, white, decent-looking man, it’s so hard to connect the fact that he is actually such a psycho. And, unfortunately, there’s a good chance that’s also the reason why there are still quite a few fans (who call themselves ‘Charmies’) who are still convinced that this is all not true and that all these women (there are now dozens) are after publicity and money. Hm-hm. If you’re still doubting whether this is worth it or not: just read all the evidence on this forum.
But the one who had not yet spoken out publicly, and whom everyone was waiting for, is his ex-wife Elizabeth Chambers. Did she know her ex-husband had this side? They were married for ten years after all. And in those ten years, Armie Hammer has made quite a few awkward statements. For example, he admitted in an interview with Playboy that he likes rough sex, but that he can’t do that anymore now that he’s married. That would be disrespectful to his wife, as she doesn’t like having her throat squeezed. Later he said he was drunk during this interview and called it awkward.
Many people, especially his fans, call it ‘kink-shaming’ what the media and his victims are doing. Let me make it clear that this is absolutely not kink-shaming: people who engage in BDSM know that you don’t do that without having a safe word. Without making clear agreements. Fortunately, Armie’s ex-wife agrees with that. Today she spoke out for the first time on Instagram. She states that she supports the victims and would never approve of any form of abuse and mistreatment. She also says she is in shock. Logical, I think.
And what is Armie Hammer doing in the meantime? He is currently in the Cayman Islands, where his ex lives with their children. Whether he is allowed to see his children is unknown: several victims have also made messages public in which he expressed himself in a not entirely normal way about his children (that he would want to do something to them, for example).
I am very curious about what the aftermath of this will be. Fortunately, he has already lost two roles, and it seems completely justified to me that, firstly, his career is over, and secondly, that he won’t get away with this unpunished. A telling detail is that his Call Me By Your Name co-star Timothée Chalamet announced a new project last week... That’s about cannibalism. Excuse me, tone deaf much? Ex-wife Elizabeth Chambers also reacted to the Instagram post with this news with the words: “No words.” That same Timothée is said to be fully aware of his tendencies, and of all the girls Armie kept on the side, whom he called his ‘kittens’. He wanted to be called ‘Daddy’. As I said: it’s a huge rabbit hole and we probably haven’t heard the last of it.
