Raising a puppy is just as challenging as raising a child

Have you always dreamed of your own labradoodle? Think carefully again about whether you want a puppy. Especially when you hear about this research.
I am so tired
Because a puppy is a lot of work. Research from AniCura National Pet Panel, which involved 1500 men and women, shows that no less than 60 percent of dog owners find raising a puppy just as hard as raising a baby. They. Are. Just. As. Tired. As. New. Parents.
That a dog also requires attention is evident from the numbers. For example, 41 percent of dog owners sometimes worry about training, 38 percent about health, and 37 percent about interactions with other dogs. But, just like with children: it enriches your life. You get love in return and that is ultimately what matters, right? Those dark circles will disappear… That sleep will come back… That time for yourself… Too. But well. Don't forget this if you are unsure about bringing a doggy home.
Just wait a moment
Look, it might be a bit strange to compare children with dogs, but you can imagine it. A baby needs a bottle or breast every three hours and has a dirty diaper every few hours. The same goes for a small puppy: it needs to go out every few hours, eat or drink something. And you notice that in everything. Almost half of the people with a dog would even choose not to get a puppy anymore, but an older dog, or even not get a dog at all. And why? Because it is quite heavy and it disappoints many people. With a baby, you know a bit better what to expect after nine months of pregnancy. People often think they can just ‘add’ a dog. But no.
No matter how cute such a mini pup looks... Looks can be deceiving. They cost you money, time, and effort. And yes, you get a lot in return. But don't think it's easier than a baby.
