Ready, steady: always ready for that date or bikini

Last week I was having dinner with a girlfriend (at a very Dutch time due to the curfew, of course) and we were talking — surprisingly — about dating. Well, mainly about her dates. No hair left in places where she preferred not to have it. But then the date was canceled. Totally disappointing, of course, especially — and this is a direct quote — ‘now I went through that whole car wash for nothing.’
