SEE: the trailer of the iCarly reboot

Soooo, wake up the members of my natioooon, it’s your time to be. I loved this song when iCarly was on TV, but thanks to TikTok I hear it a lot again while mindlessly scrolling through the app. Sorry, that’s called the ‘for you page‘ of course. The song Leave It All To Me, or the theme song of iCarly, has once again become quite a hit and I’ve had it in my head for over a week now. I don’t mind that too much, but my surroundings are getting tired of my humming and singing, I feel.
So now my apologies in advance: for now it’s not going away, because the trailer for the iCarly reboot was released today. Yesss, that long-awaited reboot, I’m really looking forward to it. I may have passed 30, but I still get stuck when I come across an old episode on TV. Except when it’s dubbed, because that really sucks.
But anyway, the trailer. The whole cast is back, except for Jennette McCurdy (Sam), who has put her acting career on hold. Fortunately, the rest is back in action. The trailer states in big letters that they are ‘all grown up’, but… That Miranda Cosgrove (aka Carly) hasn’t aged a day, it seems. And her brother Spencer (Jerry Trainor) hasn’t either, even though that guy is already 44 years old. How is that possible? The only one who genuinely looks grown up is Nathan Kress, who plays Freddie.
But it’s perfectly fine that they haven’t changed much; this is nostalgia at its best and I am so looking forward to that reboot. Good thing, because June 17 is when it’s happening. Available on Paramount+. LOVE IT.
